The Winter 2012 issue of Modern in Denver is now available. Love the cover’s colors and theme: The new office.
I’m amazed at how much content is packed into these pages. And how svelte the whole mag looks. My husband, a designer, picked it up and commented, “Oh, this is Modern in Denver. I thought I was reading Fast Company and wondered why there were so many architectural articles.”
Definitely worth picking up at a Denver-area Whole Foods, Tattered Cover Bookstores, Denver Art Museum and other places. Or subscribe by mail HERE.
Obviously, I’m a fan … and a writer for the magazine (ahem!)
For the winter issue, I once again wrote the text for the “Field Study” section, filled with nicely designed products that are from Denver, Eames and beyond. If you have a product pitch or suggestion for the next issue, let me know!
One of my favorite products featured is the simple wooden spoons called the Modern Welsh Love spoons (pictured on left), hand-dipped in Valentine’s Day-friendly colors. The spoons are a streamlined update on an age-old tradition of love spoons, which are typically much more ornate. Possibly a fun DIY project down the road too.
