When you have a kid, you either want to get vacation travel over as soon as possible — or you extend it and make it part of the trip. And extending the trip means taking a road trip, which I’ve been doing frequently since having a wee one of my own. But when you’re so reliant on technology, road-trips can be a frustrating experience of intermittent signal, unreliable apps and 3G and 4G-challenged byways.
Unless you hit the road prepared. Which I was not on our first road trip a few years ago. But this summer, I did a little more research and checked out several apps that you need to download and get ready before you hit the road if you want them to work without signal later on.
God send! More please, app developers!
